In Aboriginal folklore, this is an entity that lives in the Australian Outback.

The Yowie is said to be Bipedal. People have said it’s hairy, and ape-like.

Facts & Trivia

  • The most sightings have been recorded in eastern Australian states.
  • Witnesses claim them to be between 6 - 11 feet tall.
  • Some people describe it as looking like a hairy-man but with bat-like ears.
  • The most sightings of Yowies come from Queensland but they are reported in every mainland state of Australia.
  • Reports of Yowies go back to the 1800's.

Questions to Ponder

  • Every country seems to have a Bigfoot-like animal. Is this Australia’s?

The Disappearing and Reappearing Wheelchair Leg  My mom was really sick with pancreatic cancer. I had to get her to the hospital in Madison for a doctor appointment. The hospitals there are really big and I knew I'd have to get a wheelchair.  So I went to a local place that rents them out to you for several months at a time.  I got there, my sister helped me put it in the back of my car and the three of us were off to the Madison hospital. Werewolf

  Werewolf In folklore a werewolf is a beast that is half human and half wolf. The word "werewolf" comes from the Old English words "wer" and "wulf", which mean "man" and "wolf". The story goes that either a curse was put on a human that he would turn into a wolf on a full moon night, or that if you are a child of a werewolf, you will remain human, until you accidentally or purposely kill another human, then the curse shall take hold on you too. Vikings believed that if you wore the fur of an animal it would give you the strength of them. This could of been the start of storytelling about hybrids or men with animal like strength. Sand on the Beach Meditation  Hey everyone! Here is a soft sweet meditation that came to me while I was meditating actually. I felt like it might be helpful to others so I wanted to post about it here.   Here goes ...   Sand on a Beach Meditation Lay down and take a couple deep breaths. I call them God breaths. Feel the air go in and feel the air slowly go out. Now picture a beautiful beach with turquoise water on a warm sunny day. There is a light breeze blowing. You can feel it on your face, you can hear it softly blow across the sand and water. Now look down at the sand. Look at all the little pieces it takes to make up this beach. Picture yourself as a little piece of this sand. You are a little piece of sand laying on this beach.  Take a deep breath in. Then exhale feeling the breeze lightly blow against you as the warm sun shines down on you. Now picture the warmth of the sun on your surface.
