Ropen

Ropen

Demon Flyer

A bat-like creature that has been sighted in New Guinea.

The Ropen is said to be fly like a bird, have bat-like wings, a long beak filled with teeth and a 30' wing span. It is said to have bioluminescent lights on it to help it attract fish at night for feeding.

Some people believe it is a supernatural bird while others believe that it is a bat, or a pterosaur, which is an extinct flying reptile.

Questions to Ponder

  • Is the Ropen a real bird from prehistoric times, a spirit-bird or just folklore.
  • Is it possible that pterosaur have survived and possibly living deep in caves and once in awhile one makes it way out where people witness it?
  • Can these Ropens be responsible for so many missing people in state parks?
